January is often the month when winter really settles in and people begin to feel the blahs. Well this is not the case in the Hocking Hills. Because the holidays have come and gone is no excuse for not getting out into nature and exploring all that there is to see and experience. Here are a few suggestions.
The very popular 45th Annual Winter Hike is also a definite don't-miss. The 6-mile trek starts and ends at Old Man's Cave and spans The Grandma Gatewood Trail section of the North Country Scenic and America's Discovery Trails. The views are breathtaking, the wildlife is abundant, and the experience is incredible. Make plans to stay the weekend and enjoy the naturalists' programs, games, and refreshments in the Dining Lodge of Hocking Hills State Park on Friday evening. If you are looking for a more relaxing and informative experience, join us for our Holistic Health Now series. The first session, an Intro to Holistic Healthcare, will take place January 24th and is presented by Mary Jo Ruggieri, Phd, Director of Institute of Holistic Heath Careers' 'Educational Wellness Professionals'. Look for more information in the future - or contact the Inn to register!
There is much taking place this January in the Hocking Hills. Join us as we welcome 2010! We look forward to seeing you!
